Alright - let's see some orange! Merckx, Motos, Schwinns - how about it!
Kurt - you should know that continued posting of your Superior only increase the chances of me swiping it on my next trip down to Florida!

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
It is a custom made Arvon that dates to the eighties... he is a local builder and a masterful one at that. The stem's pinch bolt is secured from beneath.
It is a beautiful piece of work in that it is stiff laterally but has just a little vertical flex that absorbs road shocks amazingly well.
Sadly... I had just got everything put together when I suffered a grievous fork failure due an accident.
I am going to see him and am going to ask about these stems and see if he has any more stashed away.

I have to fess up, not "my" very nice Kabuki. Good friend's though! We had a great 50+ miler to take him down to Welch, MN for the beginning of the Tram. He rode 100+ that day, as he did another fifty late that afternoon. I ended up getting a ride home from Mrs. Gomango, as I blew up a rim in a pothole on the descent into Welch. Went home though, grabbed a different bike, and did another 63 miles with our club on my Professional SLX.

Must......have....orange.....bike.....
I actually prefer the metallic or burnt orange varieties, similar to that offered on the Schwinn Superior, though I wouldn't pass up a pumpkin orange Merckx or Cinelli!

Rest assured it's orange...
...I think Schwinn's name for it is Sunset Orange.

Undoubtedly this will be the ugliest bike in this lot. But it is mean and it has studded tires, and it will eat your bike. And orange seems to be the right color for a winter bike; easier to find my body the next day.

That thing is awesome! I've been looking for one for a while but they're always too small.
