I had a pair, and they didn't stay on very long!

I've been using them for almost a year. They work great and I see about a 15-20 watt reduction but only about 1/3 of the drop is really useable.

What make/model hybrid did you put them on? Did your knees ever end up hitting them while pedaling?

Never understood these things ("drop bar-ends"), never will. If one wants drop bars, get a bike with/designed for drop-bars, and use appropriate brifters or brake levers/shifters. "Drop bar-ends" -- worst of both worlds. A 'drops' and/or 'hoods' position, without access to brakes/shifting. Don't get it.

Pretty straightforward, to my mind.

I have a Haibike Urban Plus that I was trying to make more "aggressive" with a longer stem and lower stance. My knees don't hit them while sitting but if I am out of the saddle for whatever reason, I have to be a little careful.

I looked into doing a drop bar conversion but given that I had hydraulic brakes with sensors hardwired into my computer and tail lights, it would be very complicated and expensive since I had 10 speed dyna-sys too. I only get into the drops when I know/pray I won't be needing to brake.

I think you answered your own question when you said "two bikes". The reason I'm interested is because I'm "trying" to get my stable down to one steed.

That makes perfect sense in a situation like that. Thanks for the info!

Ah, got it ... your other thread. Fair enough, but for the record I didn't say anything about "two bikes". As it happens, I am a "one bike" guy. I actually own two -- hardtail mtb and flat-bar road bike -- but only because I have two primary cycling locations, 'home base' and summer place: one in each location, ready to go.

My view of 'drop bar endz' remains the same.
