Y'know, I wondered about some o' the hills and places I cycled. Some o' the daft things I did and still do. Sprinting across the road as the traffic light change sort of thing.
From the age 38 it was a case of "how long can I do this stuff for?";
Still doing it at 70. Love it even if I do look daft . . .

At 60 I hadn't even started riding yet so nothing for you to worry about. Not until I ran 1 too many marathons and needed a hip replacement did I turn to cycling.
Now I ride about 3k miles a year and really enjoy it. Hills are my favorite and we have plenty of those in New England.
67 now and exited about riding the New England Classic "Tour de Cure" again to benefit the American Diabetes Association. 7 days and about 28k feet of climbing what fun!

Completed a bachelor degree in nursing at age 60 - learned in a Human Growth and Development class that Middle Adulthood extends through age 65. At 66 we enter Older Adulthood.

70 awaits you with open arms and a welcoming smile that has faint signs of sarcasm in it. It sure rolled by a lot sooner than I had planned. It brought a lot of unwanted baggage, too. Knees hurt, WTF; I need open heart surgery and it will take two years to fully recover, and much, much more.
The surgery was three months ago and I'm really doing well. But you get the point. Enjoy the next ten 'cause they are almost free in comparison. Best wishes. bk

Ah 60.
Too long ago for me to remember and not long ago enough for my long term memory to kick back in. Come to think of it, the whole decade of the 1960's feels kind of that way too.
