Not my cat, but Roxis roommate for three weeks while we were out of the country this summer.

Yeah, an afternoon filled with hissing and swatting. At ME !. The newbie has already chased one of the younger males around the house twice, he's now freaked out, but did eat his dinner in peace. Somehow he doesn't recognize his litter mate brother and is avoiding him. I likely will not get much sleep tonight. Its for a good cause, so will just roll with it.

Where do you put the emphasis in Farrell's name? On the first syllable, like feral, or on the second syllable, like the singer Pharrell Williams?

Thanks! I'll convey the message.

I put the emphasis on the second syllable. I always follow mrs non-fixie on important issues like these.

He'd doing well so far. Stitches have been removed a couple of days ago, and he's coping well. Another three weeks and he should be as good as new.

Buttons is getting braver. Shortly after this he came inside and sat there on the black mat. He is slowly facing his inner dinosaur (fear), as my 8-year-old daughter would say.

Buttons had his first meal indoors. He's getting braver by the day. Shortly after this the kids had fun with him with a laser pointer. It was very cute.

Kas is our new member to the house, the 10 year old girl that my nephew was unable to bring with him when he moved with his family to Barcelona. She’s generally a good sweet cat, but has a temper. We are trying very hard to get her to be an accepted member of our house, that has 2 existing 2-1/2 year old brothers living in. It’s been painful. Kas was raised as a single cat in a very small Brooklyn apartment, thus has no real developed social skills with other cats. They chase her, she screeches, she has mostly been keeping to the house’s first floor and kitchen area, where she sleeps. It’s not a happy house in other words, we have multiple Feliway spray dispensers that seemingly have no effect on the aggressiveness of my 2 boys. The cat politics here are worse than the US House of Representatives. We are planning a trip to Italy this spring, might pay to take the cat and deliver somewhere in southern Europe back to her family.

Buttons made two more breakthroughs. He napped inside after eating, and he walked to the top of the stairs. It's looking more and more like we are adopted.

After our cat Harrison passed away this summer we had room for another cat in our house. Sonny has to be the most friendly cat we have had, orange cats seem to be that way.
