What new saddle to choose?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What new saddle to choose?

So after having some serious perinium soreness, it's time I ditch the Brooks. It's a great saddle, don't get me wrong on that. It's taken away the pain I was having with my previous saddle totally. Though, it gave me new trouble. My perinium is now swollen and hurts like... Yeah, it hurts. A lot.

So I've been looking for anatomic saddles as they relieve the perinium pressure which is exactly what I want, but I'm having some issues choosing.

Don't comment about ISM or other high-end saddles please, as I can't afford these right now anyway.

Three choices I have right now are:

- Selle Italia C2 Gel Flow (136x276mm)
- Ritchey Pro Biomax (131x272mm)
- BBB Razer Anatomic (130x270mm)

Sitbones are 122mm apart. Which would be my best choice? Any of you have an other affordable alternative? (No useless C&C please...)

Believe it or not, the Nahsbar GR2 has no cutout, but is designed well enough that when adjusted properly is a wonderful saddle. After riding with cutouts (I tried a similar Selle and it was nice), this saddle feels great. I think 55/Rad just built a bike with this saddle too.

which brooks do you have? That seems like a pretty narrow sitbone size for the B17.

I have a B17 Narrow, but it's not the sitbones that are the issue. It's the perinium.

Serfas Stinger. Anatomical, titanium rails, 190g, about $60 at Bicycle Warehouse. I switched from my Brooks B17 to this seat. Serfas also has a 60 day guarantee. If you don't like it, bring it back and the dealership will give you your money back.

Try dropping the nose of the seat about a 1/4 inch. That will raise the back of the seat and actually push the seat into your sit bones and simultaneously relieve pressure on your taint.

Anything I can do against the sliding forward on the saddle?

OP, ultimately it really depends on your arse. I've three "extra" saddles in my bike storage before getting comfortable on my fourth.

Just as I have half a dozen pairs of extra running shoes before finding the pairs that worked for me.

I called around for the Ritchey Pro Biomax saddle, but none of the LBS's appear to have any in stock. It sucks, and is a bit strange though, as we are talking about 7 different LBS's.
I'll be ordering a Pro Biomax this afternoon, as it's the most affordable next to the BBB saddle (which is a bit of a doubt, based on the brand name). Hopefully I'll have it on the doorstep this Tuesday so I can do a quick test ride Tuesday night.

I went from the B17N to the swallow and it worked out much better for my nether regions.
