Best gear reviews I've come across on the web: https://www.dpreview.com/
Most other sites simply rave on and on about a camera. DP Review seems to be even-handed and frank in their evaluations. Very deep reviews, too.

not mine but I'm at the mass. This is a critical mass with more than a 1000 people that happened this week because the death of a cyclist by a bus at one of the biggest avenues in my city. It was one of the most rainy nights that I saw in my life, huge winds too!

Errrr; the k1000 is known widely for being fully manual and therefore the ideal beginners platform. I got my ropes from one. But then again, your dad most likely is sentimental about it and doesn't want anything to happen to it.

In fact he would be happy if I'd shoot with it , I am familiar with manual settings but I couldn't set a camera to take one picture perfect, I usually shoot 2 pictures to adjust ISO aperture and speed before shooting seriously
I cheked and I dont have the k1000 but a spotmatic

DSLR's are awesome and there is some superb captures here. But can we post some pictures of bikes(and or bike related) and not random randomness of random people???
this is Bike forums and the forums have to stay within the guidelines that govern the site. meaning it has to be bike related. Im only saying this because there was a time when this thread was full of awesome pictures of bikes and bike culture.

This thread is about Photography, not pictures of bikes. By the way this thread is called photographers and you posted some random cellphone **** at the top of the page. I think you're the one not fallowing rules.
