Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My paper on the Freedom of Cycling!

Hey everyone!

So pretty recently I was assigned the assignment to write a paper about freedom. At the time when I got the assignment I thought, ok I could maybe write about the berlin wall. But later I was speaking with a friend who helps me with papers and he said "Stop for a second, yes you can write about something that everyone else will write about or you can write about something you personally love" So after thinking about it for a second I thought. Huh, what about cycling?

So I went through the whole process of interviewing some people, and I also got some studies to help me along.

Below is the actual paper. The reason I am posting this is a) to see peoples responses and what they thought and b) because I think that there are people on this board who can really relate to this. So here it is:
(For everyone, if you want the paper you need to send me a PM and I will give it to you)
Thoughts?

(Just a side note, if you are having a problem with reading the paper, please tell me and I can figure out a way to get it to you. thanks)

Great work. I found your paper interesting till the end, by that I mean: towards the end. The part about Lance is well placed and relevant but too long and should not be the conclusion of your paper.

Think about a summary of all the parallels you made between cycling and freedom, and a punch line.

I would try also to seperate the paragraphs more, this is particularly true for internet ready (one paragraph per idea) but somehow relevent to paper reading.

What do you mean by seperate the paragraphs more?

As far as formatting...it is different slightly between what I printed out to hand in and what you see now. Thats just how it worked out.

Tricky business posting papers on the net. Some software that checks papers for plagerism might tag it as plagerised when you submit it for grading.

I'm not saying you plagerised. I'm just saying now that it's on the internet someone else can use it, it will get reposted etc. Software that does checks crawls through sites building database of papers, so if yours is run through such a software it might be marked as plagerised even thought it isn't.
