Araya/Shimano 105 silver clincher wheelset

Nice Araya silver rims with machined sidewalls with Shimano 105 hubs. Includes tires/tubes (not sure how old) and Regina freewheel. Asking $90 plus actual shipping to lower 48.

They should fit. 6-speeds = 126mm, and converting from 27" to 700C actually frees up room for bigger tires.

Just bear in mind that you may need to replace the brakes with ones that have a longer reach if you don't have enough wiggle room to lower the pads to the level needed to contact the 700c rims properly...

I've heard that this reduces the clearance of the bottom bracket, increasing the likelihood of pedal strikes. I think that bigger tires would offset this though.

Pedal strike is more of a concern when making a large difference in wheel diameter. If you switched from 32mm tires on 27" rims to 35mm tires on 700C rims, the difference in BB height would only be 1mm. Negligible in my book.

Going from 27 inch to 700c is not a problem other than potentially brake reach.
