New All City Big Block Colorway
Same great bike, new dress. This, of all of the paint configurations will undoubtedly be the most polarizing. What do you all think?

The new Thunderdome looks pretty sweet but they changed the geometry with a pretty slack headtube angle, not sure how that will fare...

I'm seeing 72.5° for most of them on the site. (~60mm trail with 45mm offset fork.) You thinking of a different model?

Thunderdome used to have basically the same geo as the Big Block, ~74 degree head tube for most sizes. This year's model has a different fork and the 72.5 degree head tube. Not sure if it's to the improvement or detriment of handling with its intended purpose. Bike geometry trends are always changing, but it seems pretty slack for a track bike.

I loved the pink fade, the new one is really beautiful too. I don't know why the new color scheme reminds me of .....
Now you can't unsee it ....

pink fade was 1000x better. that looks like it was done with spray.bike and painters tape. not digging the new thunderdome chopper edition either.

For what it's worth, note that they also added offset to the fork. Old one was 30mm. So the biggest size will handle the same, but the smaller ones will have a bit less trail than they did before, for more neutral handling. It would be a plus in my book!

Next week I'll go down to the LBS to see if they have the new Big Block, don't know if they'll let me bite it, I'll keep you updated. Funnily enough, I HATED black licorice when I was younger, now I absolutely LOVE it.
I say we petition All City Bikes to rename it the All City Good & Plenty .... it just rolls off the tongue.

I found the archives, and now I get what you're saying. Looks like slackening the HT allowed them to have more consistent geometry across the range. Old one was between 73° and 75°.
For what it's worth, note that they also added offset to the fork. Old one was 30mm. So the biggest size will handle the same, but the smaller ones will have a bit less trail than they did before, for more neutral handling. It would be a plus in my book!

I like the color, sure yes the fade was better but this is still nice. Sad though the bike called Mr. Pink kinda stopped being pink?

Looks cool. But why oh why couldn't they have added a second bottle cage mount on the downtube? That's something I'll never understand about the single speed world. I mean I can understand with pure track bikes, but not on ones that will obviously be ridden on the road for longer distances. If they do use just one it should be on the downtube so you can fit a frame pump along the seat tube vintage style. A single one on the ST just doesn't look right to me, not to mention it's not as easy to grab the bottle there.
