Edit: I think it might be a computer error. The price on the first pic is near, but not equal to the largest single precision signed integer. The price when you click into the ad is a cool nine hundred billion.

An Exercise In Abraded Thighs

Fat Tire Cruiser Bike
$275
Hobbies

Bicycles
Listed a week ago in Locust, NC

"Details
  • Condition
    New
  • Brand
    Custom/Huffy
Custom fat tire bike for sale. 26” fat tires, custom built frame. New chain, grips, seat, and fresh paint. This is a rather large bike and the seat is obviously not adjustable so you need to be tall to ride it. Not made for kids. Has a back pedal brake so its easy to ride. I built the bike but I didn’t ride it so I would rather sell it then let it sit. Perfect for the beach or around the park to follow your kids on. Its big and a bit heavy with the large tires so it would be great to just around the house. Im in no rush to sell it so I will be pretty firm on the price. If its still posted then its still for sale. "

To be fair, the seller does say they feel solid but should only be used for decorative purposes only.

Doesn't look safe to me. A few good bumps and that frame could buckle. Is there a cog in the back?

I'm no expert on bike prices, but this seems a bit high for a somewhat scuffed and dirty bike.

Schwinn

Schwinn - $500 (Seminole)

Schwinn 10 speed antique...needs a tune up FIRM PRICE...my dad was 6ft.6in tall so the bike is made for long legs. The rims are 26in..

I own Schwinns but don't consider myself a Schwinn collector. They may have done a search and saw what they were asking for a 76' Bicentennial. I agree, I wouldn't pay that, but that's what some people are asking.
edit* I see someone upgraded the front rim and that's not dirt, its pixie dust.

Ultra Rare Vintage Cinelli Track/Fixed/Single Speed - $10,000

Maybe I'm wrong, but I guess it is pretty rare to see a Cinellii with a repaint and re-decal done in such poor taste, covering all the chrome logs, decals not spaced right listed for 3x what a pristine one would cost. I know we have this whole "Covid bike tax" thing and all, but this takes the cake in my book, regardless the seller's intent. If you think you have a $10,000 vintage bike, maybe you should pay for an appraisal? That's what I did when I sold my 1st-year time capsule 1969 Masi GC and 1970 Chinelli SC which were far more rare than this.

But hey, "get it before it's gone"

Someone has a very odd idea of what "perfect condition" means.

Title says "with original wheels" and just about the only information provided in the description is that the front wheel is a replacement?

https://cincinnati.craigslist.org/bi...270805122.html

80s Nishiki with Original Wheels, Brooks Saddle - $300 (College Hill)

"I have a real showboat of a road bike. I usually have this wrapped with a nice leather wrapping, but I haven't ridden it in a long time. So it's time to make room in my garage. I will include the Brooks Saddle which has been rarely and gently used. This bike also has a new aluminum front wheel. This bike was always a little too tall for me (I'm 6' tall), but it's such a smooth and fun ride. This bike is an old friend, but I'm happy to pass it on. Feel free to ask any questions!"

Carrying over from the 'long haulers' thread, another overpcied local bike. "Denali mountain bike" for $2,500. At first I thought they accidentally added an extra zero, but I guess not, after months of re-listing without a price change.....

That may be a new low. It isn’t worth $250 either!
