Beach Cruisers Do you love balloon tires and fenders? Do you love riding the simplicity of a single gear and coaster brakes or a single gear cluster? Do you love the classic curves in the tubing of a cruiser that takes you back to the 1950's and 1960's, stylistically? Here's your home! Welcome to the Beach Cruisers and Cruisers forum!

I've ridden many different kinds of bikes over the years, but never a beach cruiser until this summer. Two were provided for free use with a beach house I rented on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. So while I was there I used one of them to ride down the road a few miles and visit a local bike shop.

Just lately been discovering the joy of riding cruisers. Have had this stored away for years, never intending to actually use it. I've attached a homemade seat on the rack for carrying my daughter to and from school. I installed rather crude foot pegs as well. (neither mod. pictured) Yes, I know it's a ladies' bike.

It's a step through frame... Not necessarily a ladies bike 😁👍

Oh cool! Maybe that makes me feel better about my old Schwinn Le Tour that I've been calling a Mixte but I suspect is a ladies' bike.

I'm 51 years old, and I'm seeing no shame in using a step through frame. If it allows you to ride, own it!!!

Had this little cutie in the fleet since last X-mas, but I didn't want to introduce it until Lil' Miss got over her training wheels.
First major outing (outside the neighborhood) at Norfolk Botanical Garden ; the water bottle holder was thrown on at the last minute, I'm going to have to find something a little 'prettier' for it.

Talking

I got this brand new one and I love it. I looked at and seriously considered the electric assist but decided I needed to do all the work pedaling. Hope I don't regret it.

Snow riding would be scary even if the correct tires are on.
