Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Olympus C-5050... which is now unfortunately broken :'( i'm going through camera withdrawl. the CCD went out (the thing that senses the image) so it's like having a camera you can't put film in... Olympus says it'd be about $250 to replace, but that's a 1/3 of the way to a decent digital SLR these days so i don't want to drop the money...

Yeah, I went to one back in the Fall actually. I didn't compete though since I was there with some friends.. I'm hoping some more happen soon. There are some ice races happening here soon.

I'd love to get back to dk sometime with a bike. I was there this past Summer for a few days while travelling. I was living in Stockholm for 3 months with my gf while she did research for her PhD.. check out my touristy pics. I've never seen so many bikes in my life.. that one subway station with the 2-level bike parking was crazy. I also had the best choloate croissants ever while I was there.
