i really wanted to go the rutgers ride, too, until i read THIS on the nj transit web site:
Standard frame bicycles are only permitted on outbound trains (originating from Newark, New York, or Hoboken) scheduled to depart a cyclist's boarding station between 5:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., Monday through Friday.
WTF? that can't be right. i'm going to call them in the morning.
does anyone know if there is another option? maybe a ferry that stops nearby?
**edit** never mind. i'm just an idiot. i can take the bike on a train if i leave before 4pm. sorry.

It is Official at last, it is On. The dates are staying the same, July 4th weekend. The main event, closed course racing will be July 2nd & 3rd in Jersey right over the (GW)bridge, on the water with views of the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan. There will likely be side events in Manhattan but nothing nailed down yet. Goto NYBMA.com The...Biggest...Event...Ever! (among messers)

2005 Midwest Alleycat Jumpinships - Columbus, OH
Hey all,
I didn't ride this time around because I'm still recovering from my latest cycling mishap, but I couldn't resist stopping by and checking things out. The weather was absolutely horrible, but the turnout was still great, probably 60 riders in all. The weather took it's toll though and only about 20 riders actually finished everything on their manifests. It was a whole lot of fun, and hopefully the Columbus fall event will be just as successful.
I took a bunch of pics, and if you'd like to check them out I have them posted at the following site. If you'd like some up here too, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
I'd love to hear from anyone that was here in C-Bus and what they thought of their time in our rainy little city.
