Schwinn Bike Shop Request
Hello Forum,
I bought a 1984 Schwinn Chicago Cruiser and want to restore it. Does anybody know of a good Schwinn bike shop near Irvine?
Thanks,
My other bikes are a Diamondback Insight 2 and Trek 7.2FX. I ride on the San Diego Creek Trail and like riding on the Backbay loop. This site rocks!!!!

Post pictures!
What does it need or what do you want to end up with? Perfect 100 point restoration (expensive, and means the bike won't get ridden much) or a good cleaning & mechanical refurbishment. Either way, OC has someone who can do it.
Oh yeah, I live just over the 55 in Costa Mesa.

You might try Two Wheels One Planet, which is on 17th St. in Costa Mesa. It used to be Sea Schwinn. Their mechanics, Tomas and Fernando, have been there forever; they may have originally put your bike together!

Thanks for the replies!! This was a great deal that I got on CL. I didn't really need it but was keeping my eye out for one within the years of 83-85 last of the American made Chicago's before they went BK and sourced out to Giant. I can't believe how heavy it is. Got it for $120.

Why don't you post this on the Classic and Vintage forum? Some sharp dudes over there.
