Looking for information on which bike to buy for soft sand and hard ground areas
Don’t want to spend more then 2000
i think I going to need a large bike(I am 6ft)
and i want to be able to put racks in the back and maybe front for fishing( so I need a bike that can mount rack)
because of my price range I think it’s going to have to b Aluminium
so what size tire do I need for both areas of riding
any other things I should look into. Your input is appreciated

What brands does your favorite LBS carry ? or is what ever Bikes Direct imports & ships,
good enough for you?

For 2000, there is a lot to choose from. There is too much to type so, I'll attach a few links and that should give you an idea.

Remember that racks must be fat bike specific because the hubs are much wider than normal MTB hubs

Not sure if a MTB fatbike would be the right choice. I think a solid dropbar touring bike might work better for mixed terrain. There’s a reason why gravel bikes are taking off. It’s precisely for this very reason. Take a look at some of the touring bikes by Surly and Salsa. Also, take a look at the Marin Nicasio. I personally have one and have been quite pleased with it. Funny thing is that Marin just put out a version called the Nicasio+ which adds 650B wheels with WTB Horizon tires. I put the Horizon’s on mine, which to me are perfect for both road and mixed surfaces like sand and light gravel.
