Thrift store find - haro fst! What year? What's group 1?
I found this today at a local thrift store - I knew it was good by the frame (I had a dyno before with similar) and bought it.
What year is it?What is Group 1?
The rear dropouts are like nothing I've seen before! Why are they like that with the "ledge" on bottom?
Thanks for any help.

That's 1988 Haro FST, and it looks all-original. Here's the Haro catalog from that year.
The rear dropout ledges are standers, but most guys put pegs on anyway (like yours), because the lock nuts on the axles didn't give you much foot room on them. Group 1 is a Haro "brand" for frames and parts.
Check out BMX Museum for other examples. Collectors might be interested in some aspects of your bike -- I've seen those stems go for $100.
Nice score!

Do you by any chance know the value of a complete and original 1985 Haro Freestyler FST? The first four of the serial number is 8510
I have pictures as well just can't add them because I'm new to the site
Thank you!! Really appreciate any input! I've been searching for days and haven't been able to find any kind of conclusive current value for the '85 FST.
Thanks again!
