I was just playing around with his nonsense.
On a more serious note, on STEEL frames, My local shop does Rohloff installs starting at $2000. The carbon drive is $500 more. The Paragon drop outs are $250 a set, plus 600 to retrofit. Then paint is $400 to start.
So feets $3700 vanity suggestion to retrofit makes perfect sense.
Oh, don't forget a wheel build & taxes.

Nice. Bent hanger. What's with the sending the frame back to Ridley for lacquer peeling on the dropouts? Doesn't that happen anyway?
I guess if happened to my frame I would send it back too....but miniwilly, let's get this bike running for the season! No more excuses!

I have the exact same problem with Dura Ace R9120. Replaced the chain and cassette and it's noisy as hell on the third cog and up. But ONLY while on the big ring. I've adjusted the hanger but it doesn't change anything. The noise seems to correlate with a lot of RD vibration. I had it at the Trek shop, and they were unable to silence it.
I unfortunately don't have the previous chain or cassette anymore.

It‘s a derailleur drivetrain. I‘ve never come across a quiet derailleur drivetrain.

I noticed that if I push gently on the back of the RD, the noise from the lower pulley goes away completely. It is as if the chain doesn't run smoothly over the pulley wheel.

Once Gates figures out how to make a belt that has a break in it, I'm guessing they will sell a lot more transmissions, and I'll be first in line with lots of money in my hand.
