Panniers
Hi, I have just purchased a Trek DS 4 and I'm looking for rear panniers or a trunk bag. I'd like to hear your preference of what you feel works with this bike.

buy a rear rack * and then any panniers will likely be fine
Trek - bontrager racks "interchange" models . have a rack top bag with a quick release mount..
Our Local shop here sells them...
It's wet here. so I prefer Ortlieb panniers their city set is nice, a bit different from the back /front Roller models ..
Ortlieb USA, also supports The German also Tubus steel rack line...
Cycle tourists around the globe have made those a popular choice...

I like a system with a quick release. I have a rack on the two bikes I use most often, and then I can just slide the trunk bag into which ever bike I'm using that day. It also allows you to easily slide the bag off and carry it into a store with you.
I personally like Topeak's MTX system, and I use the MTX Trunkbag DXP. But Trek may have a competitive system as well (or other third party vendors). Topeak is probably the most well known for this as an aftermarket vendor.
