¿Fantasy Tour de France?

...is on hold. the usual vehicle-velogames.com-is not participating for the second year in a row. too far in to just stop playing until the vuelta tho. off the next two days so i’ll be shopping around for the best stopgap tdf fantasy site and post the particulars in other thread in the forum. one4smoke needs to recoup that “pictures only” race bible expenditure anyway.

sincerely,

francis

After some clever research (who else would think of https://www.google.com/search?q=fantasy+cycling+league) and insightful analysis, I note that:

- The NBC sports network's game doesn't seem to be up. Yet? At all?
- Eurosport's game is probably the 800 lb gorilla (~5 Greipels). The GCN guys are running their league there.
- There is an ASO "official" game, new as of 2018. Hmmm. What a coincidence re our VG woes.

I haven't researched the details, but I can already here Sean Kelly giving updates from their hosted game during lulls in the real action and praising the merciless virtual whooping I'm going to give to one4smoke, et al.

***spoiler alert!!!*** not using the aso jerkwad version out of principle. i’d rather snorkel in the shallows and get scraped up on the coral until the vuelta than condone their waterboarding techniques.
preliminary searching yielded a few prospects but i
need the better part of an hour to build up teams in the various options to see the interface/rules/etc. aiming for posting a workaround site by monday evening here in pdt-encumbered california.

Haha... If you're gonna dream ...dream big! Maybe give it a go and try something like annihilating me by 700 points or so? Something totally unheard of. Wait a sec, maybe that's not that far fetched... Didn't the winner of the Suisse beat the last place guy by some 715 or so?

^ which pales in comparison to the 1200 pt smackdown of the Dauphine's tail gunner.

Who, unfortunately, was not you.

All small potatoes compared to the beat down possible in a grand tour. As evidenced by the one I took in the Giro!

That WAS a beat down. I was content just to finish mid-pack.

Not sure which is worse... finishing dead last with no chance, as you did in the Suisse, or a close second as I did in the Dauphine.

I see what you tried to do there.

A reckoning is coming. Or so I reckon.

There's always Pee Wee Herman's "Fantasy Tour de France". He seems to win it every year, not much suspense.
