I like the contrast between me making a silly face and the guys behind
Photo by my teammates Matt Durand and Daniel Gizinski - They're both credited on FB so not sure which took this one

Hope you bought something from Alex...he's a good dude.
Skinsuit honestly looks like it could be a size too big. (For real.) Can you try one size down?
I wonder if you might be faster with your head a bit higher, and/or your pads wider. It would be something I'd try. Think it might reduce frontal area.
Nice front wheel. Looks like a fast tire!

Seriously, I bet someone was thinking, "That dude ruined the shot!"
Also, how big was that dude behind you? Are his ears true to life? Damn.

I have a friend who used to be a domestic pro. One day I commented to her that she was always smiling during races - no matter this situation. Her response was that that was her pain face, it just formed into a smile.

Few more. Same photog. Will probably be buying one or two of these. Really like this guy's work. I swear I barely had a gap, but it makes it look like I'm flying off the front of the race!

Also at Chico and pic from Alex Chiu. Not a great prep effort on my part:
TT helmet: forgot
Disc: forgot
Shoe covers: forgot
That's even a teammate's TT bike (I brought it up though after rebuilding w/etap)

Can we do a little throwback? This is one of my favorite pics of me racing my bike. From collegiate 2 years ago racing at Whitman college.

Fiesta Island Time Trial open tandem division 20K - Alan Crawford photographer
My wife loves this pic because she if perfectly shielded behind me. She is using Cane Creek speedbars. If one looks carefully, one can see a very skinny number on my wife's right side. The numbers were about 1/4 of the size of a regular number. We rode to the race and carried a can of spray glue and slapped it on. Doge would have been proud.
Here she is on the podium. BTW, the team that took first had a 60 chainring on their tandem. Now that is what I am talking about.

Courtesy of Paul King doing shots of the AOMM fondo. Fondo, not race, but there was pain. GPS read 91 deg F even up on the parkway.
This was on the parkway about 1/2 way up. It was hot, people were knackered, there were US Marines walking bikes up the mountain. The pink thing is my Cliff gel. Handy spot to keep gels. I won't enjoy that flavor for a while after having that much of that goop that day. Oh, and the mustard for cramping.
