Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

(no guys, this crusade will not end until I get an adapter or a box of free quill stems. Don't worry, working on that adapter...)

In all seriousness, nitto 259s for 15 dollars? Super jelly. How's the sweep?
Sweep is comfy so far. I've only been on a couple 5mins rides though. Hoping to try them on a longer ride maybe this weekend.

And picked this up:

My FRS from Burro finally arrived! I can now ride my new Wabi Lightning. Now, I just have to sell the clipless exustars.

I definitely hear you. The only thing that will even fit on my melon now is a size XXXL Bern Brentwood. I look like a damn wrecking ball.

Somewhere in the world (probably in China), there's a Champion System Elite Trisuit with my name on it.

a "2danger" carbon cross fork.

DO NOT WANT

serioously, buyer beware. bikewagon pictured a fuji fc-770 cross fork like the one on the fuji cross pros, and calls this a cross fork.

it won't clear 33c tires.

forget mud. it won't clear ****.

it's a road fork with canti bosses.

and worse, it's heavier than anything i've ever put on a bike.

including fat chicks.

seriously, worst piece of **** ever. i honestly think it's a steel fork that they put 3k carbon weave over and intentionally made the clearance like a track bike to **** with cross racers.

Sounds like it could have been a tri-fork.

Aye, they're good. My personal preference would've been a either that or a 2XU suit - my regular suit is a front-zipper 2XU Comp that performed flawless for a season now. However, only Champion System, Funkier and Molon Labe could deliver on time for the European Championship round in April - I've placed high enough in our local series to qualify for a place in the age-group category. Of these, Molon was twice as expensive, and Funkier's materials and pad weren't as impressive for the same price (though their regular cycling stuff punches well above it's weight).

Don't get those stupid Bontragers. Triathletes often use this type of system, and every Bontrager one I've seen failed at the cage-mounts - the thread is some sort of soft plastic that never holds the screw. Last time, a friend's failed right in front of my wheel.

I've been running an Xlab Turbo and the Gorilla cages are absolute bastards as far as grip is concerned - a bottle doesn't even need to have a lip to stay put. Everything is loctited and comes with locking washers from the start. It's expensive, but nothing will ever "just fall apart".

Either that, or zip-tie a single cage and run it Lieto-style for extra aerodynamics. Might be tough to fumble with on an ever-turning fixed gear, though.

Lol I have that bottle rack also. I rarely use them so I don't have them always mounted on my post. That and I think they're a bit heavy and not that aesthetically pleasing, at least paired up with my Supertype

i think it was just a commuter/touring bike fork. tri forks have U-brake mounts and not canti mounts. u brake mounts aren't offset from the rim sidewall as much. in fact they're kind of above it. https://www.expatriates.com/img/15104720.3.jpg
this is just a ****ty commuter fork that they sold as a cross fork. i'm pissed. it was only sixty dollars but cmon, that's a pretty huge error.
https://konstantin.shemyak.com/photos...oad-hybrid.jpg https://a763.g.akamai.net/7/763/1644/...tra/1/size/250
on their actual site they call it a road fork but the auction listing said cross fork and now...

i'm cross.
