I believe we moved that thing three times and ended up chopping it up to use the deraileur, chain, and the big cog off the freewheel to turn the oil pump on the big Nasal 3B power hammer in the forge/shop.

Not a bad price for a Passage. Title is a bit misleading I think. looks like they are selling this with all components shown. Just not a complete bike ready to ride, so they're calling it a frameset?
Schwinn Passage 58cm frameset - $150 (Northside)
"Schwinn Passage touring frameset. 58cm frame with a 33” stand over height. Frame has its fair share of scratches, chips, nicks, bruises, surface rust, etc. More importantly this frame is true and straight without any dents or cracks. Frame is double butted Columbus Tenax tubing. Built originally as a cross country touring bike, this robust frame could easily be built up as a single speed, commuter, etc. Has braze-one for racks front and back, fenders front and back, and 3 bottle cages. I’ve included one photo with a RED 700c wheel mounted to demonstrate that 700c wheels can be run on this bike with the brakes still in a workable location. Being sold as a frame set, but comes with everything in the photos, with the exception of the RED 700c wheel."

Super cool, Alex. If it were up here, I would definitely be making a (properly distanced, masked and gloved) appointment. Nice find!
All your bikes need to work smoothly on the family trainer? OK...
Huh? you don't have any Campy equiped bikes? OK? Ummmm.

Looking a bit more closely at the images, it appears the brake calipers are later production (Victory - with the grey pads and more triangular caliper profile). Velobase says the reach is 39-50mm. OTOH, the period correct Record standard reach calipers are indicated at 50-65mm reach. I'm fairly certain that with the correct brakes a 700c setup (tubular or clincher) would be straightforward.

I don't know a lot about this brand, but this looks like a great deal for a loaded, fully-equipped, touring bike with panniers, lights, and extras.
https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/bik...109220222.html
52cm Maruishi Emperor touring bike with 650A wheels (650B wheels fit, see below), made in Japan circa 1979 in excellent original condition, recently tuned and ready to ride. Traditional lugged steel frame size is 52cm (center-to-center), for a rider about 5’4” to 5’7” tall. Frame is labeled "Cr. Mo. Butted Frame Tubes", top tube length is 53cm (c-c), top tube standover height is 30-3/4". Frame is great overall condition, a few minor nicks in the paint, there are some minor paint chips on the chain stays from a kickstand that was installed, otherwise no damage.
Included are the original front and rear Nitto tubular steel racks in chrome plated finish with low rider frames that bolt on to the main racks and are removable. Both front low-rider frames have had a tab repaired and work perfectly. Original Honjo hammertone alloy fenders. Original Emperor branded canvas pannier bags (rare), front canvas handlebar bag (unbranded), front/rear dynamo lights internally wired through the frame, sidewall dynamo generator, Maruichi alloy water bottle (rare) and Primus frame pump.
Both the front and rear dynamo lights and the accessory flashlight have been converted to much brighter 6v LED bulbs. The rear light has a standlight that stays on for 4+ minutes when stopped. The flashlight mounted to the front rack is powered by two lithium AA batteries, so while looks heavy for its size is actually very lightweight.
Alloy wheels: Sunshine alloy high-flange hubs, solid axle with nuts (have original wingnuts) and alloy Araya rims in 650A size (590mm), a popular wheel size in Japan at the time, that's slightly taller than 650B (584mm). This bike would easily convert to 650B wheels. The Honjo fenders on this fit both 650A and 650B wheels. The very last photo shows the bike mounted with a 650B wheel and 42mm wide Grand Bois Hetre tire (the 650B wheel is not included). Sugino Maxy triple crankset (uncommon), Suntour 5-speed freewheel. Suntour front and rear derailleurs.
Recently tuned with NEW Nitto B-132 handlebars with vintage CatEye cotton handlebar tape and shellac, NEW Nitto Technomic stem with more rise, new 1-bolt alloy seatpost with more rise, new cables, housing, new chain, new rubber brake hoods, and new Panaracer Col de la Vie 650A tires. Otherwise, this has the original alloy components (low miles). The lightweight 650A alloy wheels combined with the new Panaracer tires and touring geometry of this frame make this a fun bike to ride. Very stable and neutral steering, even with loaded bags. I will include with the bike, the original DIC 7cm alloy handlebar stem (shorter) w/alloy Maruishi bell, original Nitto B-132 handlebars and original alloy SR seatpost (shorter), if you want to keep it original.
This is great riding and uncommon Maruishi bike made in the classic French cyclotouring style. As far as I've been able to find out, this model was never imported into the US.
$675 Local cash sale in-person only. NO LOW BALL OFFERS OR TRADES.
Due to CL spam, I will not reply unless you include your phone number in your message and sound like a real person actually interested in buying this bike.
Thanks for looking.

Palo Alto in need of saving. This has potential with some work.
https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/bik...112358333.html
Vintage 1984 Palo Alto Bicycles lugged road bike with lots of character. Quality made frameset with Italian Columbus tubing and Columbus decals. Shimano 600 component group set (engraved derailleurs, cranks, shifters, brakes, brake levers), and Mavic MA2 700c clincher rims.
(See all pictures for more detail). Ignore 'frame size' info, does not allow me to change.
Very good condition road bike with smooth ride quality, no dents, clean paint (few scratches), clean logos, and straight. The paint has a few scratches from regular use, but clean overall. “Burn orange” of color (See Pictures). The bike looks very good ready to ride.
Price is $350.00 as is, not warranty. See pictures as description.

Overpriced, but it's a nice (my) size and it has Morgan Grips! If you've never had to install those, don't ask me to relive the experience for you.
