21 miles, 18-19 of which were super! Miles 14-16 were tough, for no apparent reason.

Great job! Be careful riding on wet lumber. I have a friend that slipped riding across a bridge and broke his wrist.

42 miles on Memorial Day. One of the few days it was NOT raining in our neck of the woods. Turned 280 miles on this ride for this new Specialized ebike (purchased end of April) which I bought specifically for paved road riding. Loving it. My gravel ebike already has 2,083 miles since purchased last year in May, and was in the shop for a full warranty checkup and to fine tune the internal hub gearing. Already back home and riding the gravel again.

I managed 54 yesterday and 40 today in the FL heat. 700 for the month - I may hit 800 or more if the weather cooperates.

Speaking of which, summer is indeed upon us in FL - through the roof humidity, heat indices and pop up thunderstorms.

Notably, I really cramped up after today's ride (I'm 62 and have never cramped after a ride!), so I'm going to pay closer attention to hydration. Wife and MIL fed me coconut water which seemed to work wonders!

Hey folks, I'm soon taking delivery of a 2020 Bianchi Infinito CV disk Di2.......I ordered it with a few tweeks and a nice set of ENVE 45s, and will give everyone the comparison scoop between the venerable Domane and Giant Defy. We'll see if Bianchi's Countervale technology is all it's cracked up to be.......

Rode 70K along the Trans Canada Trail yesterday in superb conditions.

Obligatory stopover at Lacombe Lake.

There are three railway crossings along the route but this is the first time I’ve encountered any traffic. Fortunately, when I arrived the engine was just backing up to hook up to its load of over 50 cars so my wait was abbreviated.

Someone has a tractor fetish.

40 miles through Dakota County, which includes some Southern Twin Cities suburbs as well as small towns and farms. This will be the new normal until cooler heads prevail in the Twin Cities.

22 miles today in sunny, low 70s weather. For the 2nd ride in a row, I started out strong (5 miles), sagged really badly for 4 miles, and finished with 13 strong miles. Beats me what's happening, but I'll enjoy the good miles.

My goals for May were 225 miles and a 30 mile ride; my backup goal was to ride more mile than last year - 186. I have a good chance of making the backup goals - all I need is 21 miles, and Sunday is supposed to be sunny, albeit with a high in the low 60s.

I want to say that I rode 30 miles today, but I must be honest, and truthfully say that I only rode 29.5 miles. They finally redid Wanda Road, which leads to the Watershed Trailhead, so now it has consistent paved shoulders that a bike can use, so it's no longer a bicycle Deathzone 3000 hazard (Narrow road, no shoulder blind curve section). So I rode from my house, up Edwardsville Road to Wanda Road, to get on the Watershed Trail. From there I took the Watershed Trail to the Goshen Trail, then to the Nickel Plate Trail, and rode that to the Glen Carbon Heritage Trail, then onto the Goshen again to go back home.

I need to look up the history of why Glen Carbon is honoring the "Father of LED Lighting"...

This place can be accessed directly off the Goshen Trail now. The Chicken Salad Chick menu looks interesting. Edit: The SugarFire BBQ menu looks AWESOME!

Put some new tires on my gravel ride (it has been delegated to a poor weather trainer so far this year) and took a 32 mi spin on paved roads. That is 86.6 mi this week, working on getting back into the 100+ / week range. Fairly cool day. Sights were three deer, including a mother with here spring baby, a wild turkey, and a gaggle of wild people.

My daughter lives in Boone, NC and we had an overnight visit for her birthday. It’s just a terrific area to ride. Traffic was lower than normal with students not attending App State and tourists staying at home.

I rode 69 miles with 6400’ of climbing. I rode from her house to Blowing Rock and on to Linville and back. Weather was perfect. A good bit of the ride included the Blue Ridge Parkway including the Viaduct.

On the way to Blowing Rock

Looking north from the BRP

Looking south from the BRP

It’s hard to believe the water this Far East winds up in the gulf

Always loved this boulder hanging over the road

We used to climb Grandfather in an event where we rode 100 hilly miles to the entrance

The Parkway is in the foreground

The Viaduct is visible.....headed that way but a little more climbing to get there

Living on a race track cul-de-sac, I suited up and road 3 laps with three different road bike. The first was Shimano, then the two Campagnolo bikes. I have to give extra points for the sound of the campy freehub when taking the downhill turns. Then for a brief moment, I forgot to use my thumb.

My typical quick ride before getting ready for work is 15 miles or so out of town and back. I do this on my old heavy MTB. Today, I was 5 miles or so out of town and the front derailleur cable broke at the shifter leaving me in the little ring. Spun like hell coming back to manage about 14MPH.

I shouldn't complain. I put new cables on about 4 years ago and have put quite a few miles on that bike since.

I organized this ride, sending off a couple of our club's higher mileage snowbirds; their last ride in AZ before heading back to MI and NY for the summer. Have to make them really miss this place before they even leave.

55.5 miles and 2,750 feet of elevation gain. Eight riders in total, and all but one of us rode from home. Our "most experienced" rider on this one, 79.

My own data: 16.4 mph ave. 44.3 mph max. 82 degrees ave. 132W ave. 934W max. HR: 134 ave. 177 max.

Not yet (1PM)-going to move and stack square bales of hay (around 50lbs each) from one barn to another. Hot and humid here today, so might "just" move 20 or so. Guess I'll see how I feel this afternoon to see if I get a ride in.

I went to a hill today called Malhao that is a 10% 2.5km burn often included in the annual Volta ao Algarve pro tour. Not long but a challenging one.
Total ride was 100km and 1400m ( 62miles, 4593ft)

A warm up for a longer, hard day tomorrow.

A couple of days late, but crashed on a ride Saturday (grass clippings on a curve, and I wasn't paying attention). Luckily I ended up in the grass and weeds before I hit the ground. No road rash, no head strike, and just a few bruises, so I got back on the proverbial horse and did 26 miles on Sunday to work out the stiffness. It took a full 10 miles before I felt right, but it was a beautiful day in North Texas.

I rode 20 miles with 1,242 ft of elevation gain. Average speed was 11.3 mph. I'm slow. I've only gotten back on the bike about 3 weeks ago. Trying to build up some fitness. Heck, I'm too slow to even do group rides. I'm trying to put in a minimum of 50 miles each week. More if I can make it happen.
