Miyata 914
Just wanted to get some info and value on this Miyata 914 that I was checking out on craigslist, if anyone has some input it would be much appreciated! Has been upgraded to STIs, but still has the Shimano RX100 that came with it, also Wolber GTX rims and a nice San Marco Saddle, thanks in advance!

I would say, in the Atlanta market, you could get about $300 for it in current condition...seems like it is in rideable condition...

Upgraded to STI's, which ones? If it's 8 speed 105 that is a good thing and if I was selling in my market I would be asking more than $300 for a Miyata STB frame and STI. The OP may be in a smaller market. FWIW I sold a 916 with 8 speed 600 Tricolor STI in pristine condition for $450 but that was 7 years ago. That Miyata is a fine riding bicycle BTW, IMHO.

I sigh because it's sad to see it so commonly.
In the OP's first photo the fork clearly fails to continue the headtube line. Compare the first photo of the OP with the catalog excerpt. The difference in the distance from the front wheel to the downtube is quite discernible.
Sure, I could be in error, or it could be the photos. But ignore? It is certainly an issue that merits further scrutiny.

I noticed that in the photos as well, and I requested some pictures from another angle to confirm my suspicion. The seller has told me he was willing to go down on price anyway since it had not sold so maybe I could make it worth my while if I could get a deeper discount then replace the fork

Was able to get some more photos from the seller, still cant decide if the fork is actually bent or it was just the angle or the one photo, anyone agree one way or another? thanks

If that fork's bent then it's not by much. I put a straight edge on my screen & really don't see it.
