1, 2, 3 bontrager tires
are the numbers after trek/bontrager tires like what tier they are (the the pricing suggests)? there are bontrager aw1, aw2, aw3 in lite hard-case and hard-case. and the same kinda thing for R, H, GR, XR, etc. edit: oh, look like only the hard-case lite are available in tubeleess ready versions. at least for the aw line.
what's the real difference between them? just weight. some of them have slight differences in durometer. does durometer have a direct correlation with desirability?

Higher TPI and softer rubber makes for a cushier ride, but sacrifices durability.
Durability costs weight- in material for beefing up sidewall (snakebite), tread (puncture), or both. Soft rubber grips great but doesn’t last too long, an extreme case was Special Ed Umma Gumma - great traction, for two rides.
