Pierce Arrow Racer
Hey Im new to the forum...I love bikes and this one is a really nice one. Ive not seen many in this kind of restored condition. Im not sure how original everything is or where to new parts(leather obviously) came from but I would love eveyrones input and I thought people would enjoy seeing a beatiful machine like this. I have no idea of the value but it may be available at some time for sale so I kind of wanted to know.
So this is a Pierce Arrow racer with what appears to me maybe are different tires but again Im not sure. I know it also has the carbide lamp as well though its not pictured here.
appreciate your comments thanks

It's a Peirce Racer, there was no "Arrow" at the time they were in the bicycle business.
That would be the "amateur" or "junior" track model I think as it has the plain drop-outs like the roadsters. The little circular decal on the down-tube might say that?
It looks very original to me. The cranks, bar/stem, post, pedals, hubs, all look correct, at least from here. I'd love to see close-up photos!
The fork in nickel is correct, and the paint looks right as well. I'd really like to see close-ups of the saddle.
Can't help you on value. What did you pay for it? It must of come from somebody who knew what it was worth, as it was restored correctly.
A very similar bike in good unrestored condition was up on ebay recently. It was listed about four times starting at $2500 and working down to $1000, but I do not think it sold at that? But it was not a very good presentation, and the seller did not inspire much confidence.
Here's a pro level Racer I restored from a complete rusted hulk. Everything but the rims, spokes, and tires are original to the bike. The sadlle was re-created from the bare rails. The whole frame and fork were originally nickel plated but sadly too far gone to replate.
PM me or post some more pics of your bike.

I will get the pics and the history of the bike and post asic. and thats one lovely machine as well.
Thanks so much for your kind words. The bike belongs to My brothers mother in law. Her husband as a young man had worked on the bike shop for almost 15years id say. He got it originally as a young man when he hung at the bike shop all the time and the guy finally gave him a job instead of wearing a hole in the floor. Every year for the last 15 before he passed away. After he retired from the insurance business he built 30 or 40 bikes a year for Toys for Tots. He would clean and paint and build rims for all these old bikes people would toss out. You would see this pile of parts and what he could do with it was amazing.

Pierce Arrow Racer
We have had this bike in our family for several years and would like to know what year it might be. I can't find any pics on line with a frame like this one. Rare? Also check out the tag below the pierce Arrow logo. (Racer) Thanks, Jerry
