Botfly

Is having a botfly larva hatch in your skin the closest a male can ever come to experiencing the joy of giving birth?

I was told that having a root canal without Novocaine - "just do the breathing thing" - is a good approximation of the joy of childbirth.

Yours has a great symbolism to it...!

Most people are blissfully oblivious to the life we carry around with us on and in our bodies. Considering what those organisms look like, that may be a good thing.
Like the many Demodex mites living on our bodies.

and no having a botfly come out of your skin is in no way near like giving birth to a child...in any way

Ever see "Ailen" and its sequels? I'd take the fly any day.

I'm under the impression that that getting kicked in the Gonads is the closest men will ever come to experiencing the pain of childbirth. But I'm sure if women had testes hanging and got a good wack to the boys, they may say it compares. It's an age old argument, science may someday let us all experience. . ..

My wife actually did this (when she was pregnant). She did not want to create any risk to the foetus.

The guy in the linked Nova video I think, however, was suggesting that the emotional bond was similar.

People, you are missing the point!

This is about the emotional bond a man shares with his parasitic grub.

No way, no how. If there is a valid comparison to be made, it's a wonder that humans reproduce...
