Focus Fat Boy, 2008 - few questions about the spare parts
Hello, everyone,
after 10 years of using my bicycle it is time for parts replacement. Now I completely disassembled whole bike and made a list of spare parts. Since I don't deal with bicycle repair everyday I could use some advice from more experienced riders
My first question is about headset bearings. They are made by "FSA" but do I need to change them ? They feel a little bit loose and wobbling but I checked the youtube and some types of the head bearings are made by purpose loose so they could align during the clamping and assembling procedure.
Then I was on landing down the road and moved out my hands from handlebar I got front wobbling and I am 90% sure that it is because of the front fork or headset bearings.
Questions:
1. Do I need to change the headset bearings?
2. How to check if they are in good condition or not? I do understand about bearings but these are kind of loose style bearings I think. Maybe I should cut the pink plastic ring and disassemble the bearing so I could see the surface condition?
3. What model these bearings are ?
4. How I understand if I decide to change it I need to remove them from the aluminium frame and press fit newones?

Actually solved the problem by myself after watching few youtube videos.
I disassembled the bearings which by the way are really simple. Looks everything good. There are few bearing marks on outer race but for this time I will leave as it is.
