Have two smart trainers, both the Cycleops M2 smart trainers. One that I've been using is super quiet, aka you need to walk into the room to hear it. The other one we purchased recently sounds like the "fan" aspect is 100x louder as you can hear it anywhere in the house. Any ideas? Can't contact company as we purchased it from Facebook Marketplace (guy used it once so he didn't do anything to it).

I guess now you know why the other guy sold it after only one use. My course of action would be to ask the manufacturer. Maybe it's a simple adjustment. Or, may the quiet one is the one that's not working right.

Agree, reach out to the maker. Most will support their products regardless of where you bought it.

Maybe this is too obvious, but did you use the same bike on both trainers? Tires and drivetrains can affect noise levels
