Jones Gnarwal for H-bar
Does anyone have experience using the Gnarwal aerobar on the H-Loopbar?
i have the Loopbar on my hybrid and in aero-position (hand on front part of loop) I'm quite fast compared tot he old flatbar setup.
Only problem is with the hands so narrow, steering gets twitchy. and i also only have that one aero position and wit the Jones bar I like to move around.
My hope is the Gnarwal would stabilize steering (imagine MUP curves) and also would give me a second aero position.
My fear is, it will be just expensive weight added to my bike i don't use a lot. I ride some road and paved MUP, so the added speed would help.
One concern I could think off is that one is stretched out too much to be comfortable, especially with a saddle more for hybrid like (I have a Brooks Imperial 175 mm wide). Obviously if i make this uncomfortable it wouldn't be useful.
I also would like to know if there are alternative aero bars (cheaper)? I saw some "super fred" images where people just put a regular double-aerobar on the H-Loop. that would be too heavy and too dorky and also likely wouldn't be that much cheaper.

There are very few mentionings or reviews on the internet. the few "reviews" are by people who tested a whole Jonesbike and got it for free for testing, so not really unbiased. And they don't say much about the Gnarwal anyway.
Maybe there are only very few users, at least the lack of actual user reviews indicates that.

I got the Gnarwal installed. It weighs 118 g inc. bolts.
When going in Gnarwal position from the regular aero position i immediately feel some increased speed. It probably has more to do with the different leg and hip position when leaning more forward.
My only problem is that my B17 (and also the B17S I installed) saddle's nose squeezes my balls. i tried to lower the nose, but then i slide forward and need to hold myself with my arms, which is not good for my hands. I'm considering to get one of the ISM noseless saddles.

What is the purpose of a handlebar unicorn horn?
Is it an attachment for gadgets and gizmos?

but since its a closed loop , jones bars are welded that way,
, you get an aero-bar function out of adding it to your jones bar to do that, it has to have an open face clamp.
hiring a welding and machine shop to get it made on your own can be pursued..
they may want a few hundred an hour..

Yes, now I understand why aero bars are not allowed in races

obviously welding would take away the ability to adjust the angle. I first had it at less slope, but that was hard to grasp. I also adjusted the slope of the Jones bar a bit since the photo was taken. Besides welding, one also would have to heat treat the bar again.

ISM Saddle
I have an ISM saddle and just can't get comfortable on it. It rubs my inner thighs too much. I switched back to my Terry saddle and just got a C17 saddle. Love both of those although it doesn't alleviate your issue.
