good for him. he ripped past me about 5 years ago on a serious climb here in san diego county...and i was having a good day. so truly humbling how quickly he vanished.
i wouldn't have been able to hold his wheel for more than five seconds. go get 'em, chris.

Shook his hand one time, seemed to be a very nice human being. That's important for me. And clearly a man dedicated to the bike.

+1 on 'Go get 'em Chris'.

I believe Oscar Sevilla is still racing - the S American circuit - he is getting on too. 41 or 42; still a baby face.

Been a fan since I saw him win the San Francisco Gran Prix FIFTEEN years ago... geez. Man that was a great race.

If you really want to feel old...think how long ago they stopped making Saturns.

When I think about Horner I recall that race (maybe the TDF) where he was in a bad crash, but continued to the finish. However, he must have had a concussion because he kept asking the paramedics as they were loading him into the ambulance if he finished the race...scary.

Wouldn't mind having that LeMond in my collection! Still driving and SL1. Keep oil in them and they just keep going and going. Kind of like Horner, huh?

That crowd are really digging his performance. I like to think I'd be flying up that hill too, with that kind of support. I see several jaws dropping there.

What kind of grade is that? Close to 20%?

Love it that he's on one of my favorite bikes...a Lemond! I've met him once, nice guy. And he has this unique natural way of smiling regardless of the pain and the percentage of the grade he's climbing. I wish him well.
