Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Fashion over function. LoP's mom often tells us about living in DC in the 60s and trudging through the snow in a skirt and high heels. Apparently, they had not yet acquired the practice of going everywhere in sneakers and changing when you get to the office.

Speaking of sneakers, my dad used to call them "tenny runners" and I've never heard anyone else do that. Was it a Nebraska thing?

It will if they don't keep those suckers clean and use chamois cream.

Do you mean a chamois as opposed to more modern padding? I've worn both. Should I go put in my two cents?

To answer the earlier question, until you save the new version of an edited post, the old version is still active.

Never mind. LoP says the shorts don't have real chamois in them. Not sure that should stop me from chiming in though.

Cut down the mast, install a seatpost collar, and a proper seat post. Duh.

The seat mast caps usually have a little bit of adjustment available.

Seems to be a cold front blowing in. And upon checking the forecast, yes. 78/64 on Saturday. By our standards that is cold, esoecially the 64 part. The sleeping bag will come out. Maybe the rain will cease.

Edit: It's raining

A midwest thing, perhaps? My dad would say "tenny rompers." I guess because tennis shoes left too little too the imagination? We're in Kansas, although my dad spent his formative years in Arkansas.
