It's silly, but it motivates me to catch up to those in front, especially if they're from CA or I know them from the forums. I'm enjoying being in the top 50 for the time being . After my New Years ride, I was #6 for a short while.

I'm on there as " nother " (wouldn't take " 'nother "). Also joined the BikeForums "Club" and will count my solo miles towards that. But I'm thinking of joining a local club and if/when I do and do group rides with them I will count those rides for that club.

I signed up last year, didn't do anything with it. I just went in and added my bikes pictures and joined the Bikeforums team.
*deep sigh*
Like I need another Internet diversion, but I know I won't be able to stay away from that site either.

I'm on, same name. I was keeping a paper journal anyway for work (for my $2 daily stipend for commuting other than single occupant auto). Bike journal is an easier way to keep track of commuter miles & see your totals at a glance. If you join the Bike Forums team, be sure to post your miles. I think we finished out in 14th or 15th place for 2005. We moved up steadily over the year from about 25th place. Don

I like how you can compare your distances to others. Should make it easier to reach my goal with that added incentive of staying up high on BJ.

Used it a little last year. Not using it this year. Too much of a hassle when I can just use my own journal. I'm tracking by hours this year anyway, not miles. I'm also not really a mileage ***** at all.

I'm there as CapeHazeBiker. Have used it for a couple of months and it's fun and motivating to be able to compare yourself to other riders on the forum, in your state, or by whatever criteria you choose.

I signed up last year, but never used it. I am, now, starting to use it since it is the start of the new year. Seems like it will be good motivation, and will help me to recall good times on the bike, like a diary. I am going to make up a small paper journal of my own, just in case my computer crashes.
