First time on forum
Haven't ever considered myself a cyclist, it's always been a means of travel. My father and uncle started a tradition of cross-country cycle touring and passed the torch to me. I road from LA to NYC through Canada when I was 19 and then traveled from Scotland to Sardinia and New Zealand in college. Riding just became a way to explore the world. It's still my favorite way to get from A to B, I can't fathom why a car would be better if it's within a 10 mile radius. The more time outside the better.
I'm hoping to return to cycle touring soon and thought I'd join the forum to educate myself and see what is happening.
