I'm a 52 year old guy in terrible condition. I'm just coming off of a Spine injury/ripped the tendons from both biceps. Yikes.
A few weeks ago I was able to sit on a stationary bicycle. Yippee. I love biking!
I've been a rider all my life. 30 years ago I did a LOT of riding, went to Schwinn Mechanic school...a week of training.....VERY well done.... ~ 1980 I rode casually.
I have a Schwinn Super LeTour 12.2 that has been with me since 74. I really like this bike a lot. BUT with the soft roads and stones, dirt paths along the river I purchased a Mongoose 21 speed that I need to replace the seatpost and saddle,, cause they aren't tall enough or comfy.
I just pulled my bikes out of storage and need to do some maintenance on them.
I found this forum from a search on trainers and figure I'll learn a lot and keep my inspiration up with the posts here.
A lot to learn probably little to share.
Regards
Tom

Hi Tom!
One thing you'll want to change on that bike are the brake lever's and cables
to the hidden style as well as brake pads too probably, I have the same bike
albiet a smaller one and my shift levers are on the down tube and not on the
handle bars like yours.
I'm up to about 10 miles during my lunch ride to do my errands, bank, post office
and dvd rental, makes for a nice fast lunch time!
Good to hear you're on the mend sir!

Welcome, Tom. Some great back roads--little traffic, scenic views--around Hunterdon and Mercer counties, along the Delaware River, Upper Bucks, PA, when you get back into shape.
