This would not be a steal for many here but for me very much so.
Not as found, pretty beat up, tweaked and way too small although I can ride it.
1982 Merz MTB, one of maybe 10 made before he went to Specialized where he had a big hand in the Stumpjumper and much else according to Jim.
$300 which I gladly paid, never seen one in person or for sale before or since.

Just call me Carrie
You know that if any of those three were Japanese and my size, I'd be showing up at your house with a bike rack and later telling my husband "they followed me home, honey".
Great deals! After all this virus stuff passes and my children return to school, we really need to go for a ride.

Not C&V, but 3-speed content: When Spin retired their dockless bikes in the South Florida region, I asked them for some my Bike Share Museum. They virtually handed me the keys to the warehouse.
Over the course of three months, I was able to donate 500 bulletproof 3-speeds between charities, community members, the county's bike program, and the non-profit I work for (who got them to Freeport to aid the hurricane relief).
Technically, there's still 38 rough ones to sort out, but COVID-19 has put the brakes on the project for now.
Got to keep two brand new ones for preservation too, plus one for my office (which is getting converted into a pedelec at the moment):

Not a C&V, but I'm pretty happy with this find.
2008 Cannondale 6 thirteen road bike. Looks to be all original. Tires were flat, but I pumped them up to 100 psi and they held air overnight. Went on a test ride, and everything seems to work fine, with only some minor adjustments to the sifters.
Stupid-light bike. Mix of components, 105 brifters, Truvativ crank and Ultegra deraillers. The seller threw in some Shimano clip pedals, 4 inner tubes and the saddle bag.
Got this from a couple that doesn't ride any more. $125.
Kind of wish I had also bought the slightly older Fuji they had, only asking $50 for that one...

I once paid $205 for an mid 80s Miyata 718a and a '77 Centurion Semi Pro that had Phil Wood hubs. They were about two miles from my home. Both in good-to-very-good salvageable condition. I did put in new consumables and cables, but I think that I sold them separately for $725, after having ridden the Centurion for more than a year. That was a great bike. The Miyata went to a new triathlete - stiff and nimble, a perfect fit.

I think these are my two most recent 'super deal' purchases. The Holdsworth Professional was $75. The Peugeot PX-10 was $37.50 (I bought two bikes for $75). Both needed a complete rehab as can be seen in the pictures. The Peugeot was complete so the picture was after I started breaking it down. I have about $350 total into both of them.

I have had a few, the best score was these two, 1974's Raleigh Pro and Schwinn Paramount P10
They were bestowed on me from a friend of my Brothers tuna These bikes were her uncles and he had passed away. so these two were given to us as they were cleaning out the uncles storage.
The other score as some may know about a 1988 Centurion Ironman made by Zunow for Mike Pigg and the 1988 Tri Season. the components had been changed except the Dura Ace Headset and Bottom Bracket
Paid $175 for the bike.

It may not be a coincidence that the great deals are on larger frame bikes..... I am fairly tall but often curse as a bike is super cheap at 63cm and its just out of what I can really properly use.
