Hey everyone! Greetings from Brazil.
Hey, everyone. Finally decided to start posting actively, since I'm getting back into cycling after about 20 years. That was January of last year. I was trying (and failing) to lose weight and I decided to give the only sport I actually ever enjoyed one more shot. I borrowed a beat up bike from a friend and went for a ride with two other friends. We rode about 30Km, and I was wrecked. My ass hurt like hell and the bike was a rusty, chain dropping mess. When I got home and realized that I still had fun, I knew I was on the right track.
A little over a year later, I lost a bunch of weight (still more to go), and my fitness and mental health are a lot better. And my wallet a lot lighter...
I currently own a hybrid that I converted to 1x11, and bought my first ever road bike last month. I really love it, and I've probably spent a lot more than I should in upgrades. But it's so fun!!

Oh yeah, he is awesome. Very rare for Brazilian cyclists to reach that level of success, made a big splash. Not as big of a splash if he was a mildly talented soccer player, but we have to start somewhere.
