Have you checked Amazon or eBay?

Which toolbox model are you after? Universal lists three of them: https://www.universalcycles.com/sear...=park+tool+box

Park's web site shows three different toolboxes available. There's a "find it on-line" button in the descriptions to lead you to a retailer.

Any tool box park sells you can likely find similar for cheaper. https://www.amazon.com/slp/tool-cases/uhhre7d4taa23u7

I am pretty sure I bought mine from Jensonusa.com. This is the BX-2 and I have had if for over a year and I like it. It doesn't hold all my tools and it can get pretty heavy carrying it, therefore I might try the BX-3 that comes with wheels and is bigger.

If it isn't made by Kennedy or Gertsner it won't be any good.

I recently bought the single latch box from the Park Tool website. It's already getting full. Perhaps should have gotten the larger model? Problems eh?

As a woodworker, I look at Gertsner toolboxes as a poor example of the art. They get away with it though.

I really wanted one of the BX-2 toolboxes, but I could never get myself to spend the money. I figured out who made the box, you can get the unbranded version a little cheaper. I think Birzman and Petros also have nice, bike-specific boxes. The real trick to something you get from Home Depot is the pallets. And just about all of them are blow-molded in such a way that there is a lot of wasted space. I like the Milwaukee and Craftsman (or dewalt apparently) boxes that I have seen recently. Not so much wasted space. But the pallet problem remains, and the Milwaukee I like is $70. I probably could make pallets, but I don't need any more projects.

Indeed. I've been a mech all my life. Bikes. Aircraft. Industrial machinery, in that order. I've got tools out the wazoo (is that a term?). Still, there is a certain amount of pride of ownership in bike tools. I didn't need to buy the full set of Park hex wrenches - I've got a whole drawer full - but... they're... blue. *grin*

I want to make a bench out of two of the blue bottoms, but it would be too extravagant for my budget right now. Nice indeed, but akin to buying a kevlar pouch when a paper bag will do.

don't they sell a bench version? HD and lowes have a bench on sale right now. Problem for me is they don't have enough drawers, and I don't really like having too many benches, i.e. flat surfaces covered in junk
