Connecting garmin ant+ hr monitor to Zwift?

Currently have a saris h3, and a garmin hrm-tri heart rate monitor. When I use Zwift I run it through my iPad. Is there anyway to connect my hr monitor to Zwift? Currently I’m just running my garmin 1030 on indoor so I can monitor hr, but would rather have everything hooked up.

the hmr-tri doesn’t have Bluetooth.

You need a little doohickey that converts ANT+ signals to BLE signals like this one: https://npe-inc.com/cableinfo/

Thank you.

Might as well just buy a new hr monitor that does Bluetooth for the price of that gadget.

I have a 4iiii Viiiiva HRM that does both BT and ANT and acts as a bridge from my Quarq to the iPad. It's been a super-reliable HRM too. Much better than the many Garmins I've had over the years. (Seems like I was replacing them yearly for a while.)

There are work-arounds, but as you've concluded it's probably easier/cheaper to just buy a HRM that does BT. Most new ones run both BT and ANT+ for this very reason.

The same applies to cadence sensors. I was having problems getting Zwift to read cadence from my Stages power meter accurately. I bought a cheap BT cadence sensor on Amazon for less than $20 that immediately solved the problem.
