Work hard, Play hard, and travel…

I proved myself this last week on the bike tour as ground / repair coordinator.

Hired good people. We ate well ($50+ per diem which was never used because we ate all meals on the ship, and that food was goood)

fixed a few bikes. Rode a few rides. And now I’m in charge of future hiring for ground & repair.

upcoming: Greece, New Zealand, Tahiti, along the Mississippi, Croatia, Prague and I think they are about to announce another Japan.

$300 a day
$50 a day for food
$ tips for repairs
all transport to/from USA to ride starts/ends included.

trips are one week but may include a day before/after (paid of course).

Perfect for a retired person. Message me if any of this interests you and I’ll add you to the list.

robert

Classy guys on classic bikes!!

Work hard, play hard

Hi Robert,
The job looks interesting. How do we connect to discuss the opportunity?

Thanks, Matt

Hey Matt, like stated, message me to start the conversation.

Must have a smart phone and light repair skills. The most I did was change a few tires, tighten a few forks and straighten some disc brakes which are surprisingly fragile and don't like to stay true.

Bob and Larry tackled from more involved things, like create a proper length spoke from two short ones. That was genius.

Message me.

Avoid the logging trucks and you'll be fine. 101 is fine. Did that from Seaside to Coos Bay just fine. 126 to Eugene can be harrowing.

Are you selling something? Were you hired for something? Are you hiring? Pardon my stupidity, I'm not sure what is going on.

This thread was from last summer. No idea why it popped back up again.

Next trip is New Zealand and we are all set.

I'm just excited to see the toilets flush counter-clockwise.

It's truly rewarding to find something you're passionate about and turn it into a source of income. That was the main reason I decided to start my own online business – doing something I enjoy. The flexibility that comes with being your own boss allows for a perfect balance between work and play. Also, having a virtual office london, like the one I discovered at https://www.hoxtonmix.com/virtual-of...on-old-street/, has many advantages. It not only adds a professional touch to my business but also enables me to work from anywhere, making travel a seamless part of my lifestyle.

Maybe I should retire sooner! I rode 5-day tours with Vermont Bicycle Touring pretty much every year beginning in 1980 and got to know one of their directors pretty well. Sometime in the late 80s he asked me to be a "guest leader" because they always needed extra hands during foliage season and I had the necessary skills. I had a great time with half a day driving sweep and half a day riding sweep. Essentially got a little pay + tips for my vacation. To be clear, I was lucky in that nobody got hurt on any of my tours, that was a possibility that was always around the corner...

it's a really cool feeling to be able to afford to go on a trip like this. Oh, I wish I could do that too.

I think one of the good things about cycling is that you don't need to have a lot of money to do a tour or just daily rides. Chances are good that you can do a tour from where you live now. Are you looking to go with a group? That could be good, I am sure that if you look around there are probably a group ride or tour near you.

It doesn't have to be exotic to be fun.
