Damn, I'm so close to being able to swing this. Can anyone spot me the final $109,990.00 I need until pay day? Trust me, I'm good for it.
BTW, the voice-over on the video is clearly done by someone (or some AI) that knows zero about the pronunciation of Italian cycling stuff. It's jarring and kind of humorous at the same time. On the other hand, the photos of the bike are big fun. Thanks for posting this.

I raised an eyebrow when this late-career Merckx recently surfaced for €36k…
https://premium-cycling.com/product/...y-merckx-1977/
Interestingly, Steel Vintage also had a supposedly Felice Gimondi-ridden and named 1968 Bianchi listed for €40k last week, seemingly no longer available, so by comparison Fausto is quite the big ticket name.

They also had his '46 track bike that sold two years ago for "over 1,000 Euros". I wonder how much over?

Ah, I always forget that riders tended to go more with the "fistful of seatpost" style of sizing rather than modern sizing. I'm 6'4" and could be quite happy with some 61cm frames, so it took me aback that Fausto could be nearly as tall as me. But he wasn't. Just different sizing conventions.

Establishing provenance is the major element.
the description is a bit short, proclaims some info- lots of records to be produced I think to build a case.
the hand painted name on the top tube is not helping.
is a big frame but riders did ride larger frames than one would today.

It's definitely AI/robot, just using the voice, timbre, and inflection from some person and what sounds like old newscaster/announcer styles of presentation. In addition to the poor and stilted pronunciation, you can tell it's a robot by the "deflated-sounding" syllables in the middle of multi-syllable words. No one talks like that, but a computer does. This is the second such more-sophisticated AI voice I've encountered, this after a few years of the generic male or female robot voice for various news and YouTube videos. They're getting better at it, which means the eclipse of competent robot-voiced videos vs their live-human-voiced counterparts is inching towards completion. Lotta people out of a job on that front, especially when you consider deep fake and general CGI (for movies etc) tech that supplant news anchors is as good as it is right now. Hoping it gets good enough soon enough to include the ways of speaking and terminology used of various famous people that we could consume videos to our preferred "human." Imagine the news read to you by Arnold, Monty Python, a WWE character, or "Uncle Red" from The Red Green Show.

In the high end vintage guitar world. a famous rock star can add quite a bit to an instrument's interest from collectors, and has the potential to rocket the price even higher. I wonder how that works in the bicycle world. I'm willing to be there are less cycling enthusiasts than there are people who enjoy famous guitar rock music. Don't get me wrong, I think it's awesome! But I'd much rather have a 100k guitar
