If you check on eBay Lynskey sells bikes from off of their trade-in program - a great/inexpensive way to pick up a second hand Ti bike/frame!!!

Nicely put.
My only input is that on group rides, I've heard Ti riders discuss
their broken frames much more than others.,
giving the impression that Ti's reputation for durability may not be deserved.

Hi folks, new to the forum here.
I saw Mosaic being mentioned up there. Anyone have one, or have a review of one? Been looking at a Litespeed T1SL but something about large round tubes speaks to me.

I went through this decision process back in September of 2021. I looked at all the Ti Frame makers and felt that you likely could not make a bad choice. In the end, I decided to go with Moots as this was likely going to be the last bike I ever buy (I'm old) and I wanted what I perceived to be "the best". It is all subjective. It also didn't hurt that I live in CO and Moots are made in CO.
My bike was ordered in September 2021. It is supposed to be delivered in March 2022. I cannot wait.

blacknbluebikes: I wanted as versatile a bike as I could get as I plan to use it for road rides like "Ride the Rockies" and also for Gravel Races (I'm registered for SBT Gravel this summer) and maybe even some touring some day. Based on those intended uses, I ended up picking the Moots Routt 45 Gravel Bike.

Our bikes must be in the same shipment. I did the same thing, looked all the Ti builders and ended with Moots. Snagged a Vamoots RCS but only ordered it a few weeks ago. My shop put in a generic order a month ago but I was the first person to claim one. Wasn’t supposed to be until August but they had my exact order ready so got a call yesterday it’s getting delivered in March. Huge win since I thought I wasn’t going to be able to ride it this summer. Figured the cost spread out over 10-20 years justified the monster purchase price.

‘96 Lynskey Litespeed (name on the L stay).
Stands up with my Colnagos (carbon & steel) and other high ends I have or have had.
25 years is not bad. Rides light, takes standard parts, looks good.
The fork match was awful. I swapped in a Ritchey carbon fork and every pedal stroke is a delight.
I stopped looking for “better bikes” a while ago.
Get a good one, fit it right, and ride it.
After a season, it will no longer matter.
