Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

After reading your posts, I'm surprised Strava doesn't take miles away from you.

Strava knows everything you are doing at all times...it just chooses to not show you what it knows when you decide to be lame and ride on a trainer.

Steel frame interferes with the GPS.

My guess, based on the large amount of detailed info given, is that you don't have a wheel speed sensor.

Isn't Strave based on GPS? The OP hasn't gone anywhere on his trainer despite how "far" or how long he rides, hence Strava records his mileage as "zero". He needs to put his trainer on a trailer, hook it up to the family vehicle and have his wife drive him around while he trains.

I do believe you missed the joke bus. The next one will be around in 30 minutes, please wait and board when able.

Strava defaults to GPS data, if you have a ride with speed sensor only it'll still record the distance data with that...however without GPS data (I do mean without GPS, not simply GPS reading 0MPH), rides do not count towards challenges.
