Cannondale is looking good!
For 2016 it look so far like the CAAD8 flat bars are gone.
They have lowered the prices on their top hybrid carbon bike some and have added a lower priced quick carbon 2 option.
Quick Carbon 1 - QUICK CARBON - FITNESS - URBAN & FITNESS - BIKES - 2016
I think this bike looks better than the 2016 carbon Sirrus bikes.

I really like this bike. I was tempted by the 2015 version, and this is an improvement thereon: better components and lower price. What's not to like about that?

the QC1 doesn't really look black. The pics don't do is justice; the graphics are overlaid in this really cool way that gives a sense of depth and nuance. Not nearly as stark as the online pics suggest.

That's a lower price?
I actually like C-dales, I have one.
But if I'm getting carbon, I'm anticipating speed and only speed. Not sure a more upright geo and flat bars are speaking the same language. Although, I can see it as a formidable commuter or touring steed.
But for $1,800, I'm not so sure. Maybe with Ultegra derailleurs, sure.
But you know, that's just me.
Disclosure: I'm broke lol.

I think Cannondale has finally awakened to the fact that hybrid buyers are not just a bunch of newbs who will buy anything just because it has the Cannondale logo on it.
They always did make beautiful rides, but now it seems they recognize that hybrid buyers will actually care about components.

I ride a 2015 quick 4... and I just don't understand the quick carbon at all. My next purchase (very soon) will be the 2016 synapse.

I've had carbon before the ride is too stiff for the price paid, rather just get wider tires and go aluminum and save 500-600 bucks on average ( highest alloy hybrid compared to lowest carbon).

My Cannondale CX1 is a great bike.
Why do people feel the need to push other brands of bikes in a thread about Cannondale? Sure Giant is a good bike, so what? There are plenty of great bikes, why hijack a thread to push your brand? If you like Giant, start a thread dedicated to Giant.
Many times company employees troll threads such as these pushing their brand, I know this from working at Badger Airbrush, we were encouraged to use these same tactics.

Ordered the 2016 Quick Speed 1 just today. I think I got a great deal at $950 (MSRP $1190). I was originally going with the Quick Speed 2 for $850, but I figured the Shimano Tiagra components vs the Shimano Sora components were worth the extra $100

Big bike!
Hi Retlod,
Looks like the big flatbar road bike I'm looking for (6'7").
WRT the picture: how far is the seat post extended from the seat tube? And did you make any adjustments to the ball head?
I would need seat post + seat tube at 80cm and want the handlebars level with the seat. Can that be accomplished with this frame and some minor extra parts? Your bike looks to be set up like that.
My LBS doesn't stock the J size and is reluctant to order one unless I'm fairly sure I'll buy it, so any info on whether it will work for me is greatly appreciated!
