Mavic ellipse rear wheel axle

Hey, I just recently snapped my mavic ellipse rear wheel axle while tightening the nut. Is their any safe websites where I can buy the axle? Thanks.

Folly.

(got your own machine shop to make a replica?)

<Guess> You over spent past your ability to fix it ... get a less fancy wheel you can deal with.

Looking around I don't see anyone carrying spares for that wheels set. The axle breaking appears to be a common problem. I'd say you need to get your LBS to order the replacement.

I don't know if you've noticed, but if you try to put a new set of nuts on the Ellipse axles, and you buy a normal set of front and rear track nuts, they don't fit the rear. You need 2 sets of front nuts. Mavic does tend to do a lot of unique stuff, but I would simply try a Mavic dealer for parts. they are easy to get.
