There are several names that go along with a one piece skinsuit, that most have used for Time Trials and Track. But lately, I have seen more and more worn in the pro peloton such as in the classics and grand tours, and used by other than sprinters. Dose any one else here wear them on a daily ride as opposed to the traditional two piece jersey and bibs? I have yet to see any in my area wearing them other than for Time Trials.

Daily ride? Not really, because they're inconvenient to wear and pricey. Also, while they can be significantly faster than loose-fitting kit, the differences between them and decent tight-fitting bibs+jersey aren't necessarily dramatic.

I have a Castelli Speedsuit. Quite like it. Generally just use it for races but it is no more hassle to wear than normal bib shorts and top.
It also doesn't obviously look like a skin suit so you don't seem like some kind of "poser" or "try hard".

I have a Speedsuit too. Lot of teammates love them, so I was induced to get one and see what they were raving about. It's okay, but it hasn't been life-changing for me. (Although I will say it makes a great winter baselayer under tights and a L/S jersey.)

I use the POC jersey on the track. I've never felt the need for a skinsuit.

For TT's I wear an Assos Speedsuit or more recently a Bioracer Concept.

But on the road I often wear Voler's Velocity Road Suit. The Med just happens to fit me really well, easy on/off and comfortable in hot weather. As a bonus it has rear pockets. There is a noticeable difference in Aero over bibs/jersey, especially on windy days.

used to have a trisuit (short sleeve & short legs) & found it invigorating & I felt faster in it (even tho I wore it under cycling shorts) it was a tad too small tho, so when the zipper stitching tore a little, in one spot, I chucked it & switched to trishorts (under cycling shorts or pants)

Speedsuit on a daily ride? No. My training partners would (rightly) scoff, throw things at me, and make me ride by myself.

I save the speedsuit for races and for 1 or 2 test rides before each race (just to make sure the race kit will all work when the time comes). Same for my aero bar-mounted water bottle. On training rides, a little drag helps me stay in the designated power zone. I don't need to be that aero.

Track, crits and TT exclusively. For road races and training rides I need pockets. They make some now with a central rear pocket but I agree with @HTupolev - why bother.

I personally would only use a speedsuit in a TT or Criterium, wasn't much of an investment for me though, found Verge Samples in my size (size small) for only $30. EXTREMELY high quality, easily something that would retail for like $150 (I have plenty of aliexpress cycling clothes, and these are not 3rd party rip offs.)

Other than for sprint stuff, I like the suits for sustained strenuous efforts, certainly up to 12h. It helps to focus the mind and to stay in an aero tuck, and it seems easier to regulate your body temperature. Getting long-sleeved suits back on when sweaty is tricky, though. This will be my first short-sleeve suit and I will be hoping to use it for an upcoming ~48h TT.

What to do with aerosuit sizing when you wear a large top, but medium bib short?

Fear that going with medium suit will make top too tight, yet going with a large could mean a good fit in the top but loose in the bottom.

I'm XL + M. I tend to go by height: up to or just below my measurement. The trickiest issue seems to be for the wrist, which I hope short sleeves will side-step.

That's a good deal and I got excited for a second, but that's an irritating label. That's a skinsuit.

A speedsuit is an attached bib/jersey with pockets that you can still use in road races. That Verge thing is simply a one-piece skinsuit for time trials and the like that you can't carry anything with you on.

Accurate, sorry for my nomenclature, I would have bought the one with pockets (aka speedsuit) for RR and such, had there been any left in my size...

Here's what I'm wondering....I have a 6.5 mph TT that I created near my house. It is relatively flat with about 300ft of elevation. In any event, I am up to 18.7 mph and am hoping to hit 19 mph this year. About how much time can I save over that distance with a skin suit? Not sure anyone will even be able to guess but thought I'd ask. FWIW, I'd like to be able to hit that mark for my 72nd birthday in June. Maybe a bit optimistic. But, by September...maybe.

Also, a more aerodynamic helmet would help too.
