Chicago at Christmas
I've just spent the weekend drinking insane amounts of vodka and partying until crazy hours the next day, the end result of this seems to be drunken plans that suggest I'm now spending Christmas and New Year in Chicago.
I'm totally up for following through and getting my arse over there, but want to know what the bike culture is like at that time of year. I understand it's going to be insanely cold, snowy and generally blizzard like... has anyone ever tried something that resembles ice hockey on bikes on a street or parking lot? Do you want to?
Or should I be not thinking of booking the plane ticket to accomodate the bike and just accept that it's too goddamn cold and that I'll spend the whole time in a bar drinking vodka?

I ride year round. There's usually not too much snow in December. In the last 2-3 years we've had very little snow overall actually. It does get cold but mid-January to february is when its coldest. Bring the ride out!

Fixed gear street hockey?!
Doesn't seem very possible.

Every winter I want to get the hell out of Chicago. And I get a nice 20 day vacation in Feb.
Where should I go?
New Zealand?
Peru?
Any ideas?!

How could I balance that?
Maybe a little Australia?
