Highest price dog food and a bike from Walmart with a backward fork. Poor kid. Lucky dog.
Usually it's married couples without children that buy the expensive dog food. My dog likes Costco and Trader Joe's.

I dont wear glasses, but boy you guys have better eyes than me. I see the handlebars are angled towards the kid, but I cant see that the fork is backwards. I dont see a Vbrake, so its backwards, but i dont see one behind the fork either.
Funny error by the props people.

On the old Lassie TV show, Lassie would have fixed the bike after Timmy fell off it into a well.

The Littlest Hobo would have taken the kids wallet and led him to a bike shop. Probably a bike shop run by Donald Sutherland or Al Waxman; hopefully not a bike shop run by Gordon Jump.

Had to google that one. I don't remember ever seeing that in the U.S.

Oh ffs.

If a kid bike seems expensive consider that a 5-speed Stingray adjusted for inflation would be >$500

I’m surprised the kid didn’t hop back off the bike and say, “Dude, this thing is effed up.”

If you watch the video, the kid is onscreen maybe a second and a half. A second later, and his bike burst into flames. Bad setup can kill.

His helmet is on wrong, too; too high in the front. And I don't see a front brake on there at all.

When I was in the army and we were taking hand to hand combat the position that kid's helmet is in is the exact position we were trained to get an enemy's helmet in in order to break his neck. All that needs to be done to do that would be for that kit to fall and strike the front of the helmet so that the force went towards the back of the head; or strike an object in such a way that it catches the brim of the helmet. I see far too many children riding with their helmets like that. If a parent is nearby I stop and tell the parent that wearing a helmet like that is quite dangerous to the child. 99.9% of the time the parent(s) will ask me how the helmet should be worn and I show them.

Cheers

Kids are easy and fun to replace (or better yet keep it under wraps and just go through the motions which are the real fun part). I don't want to have to replace my canine family.

BMX bike, saddles are adjusted ridiculously low by any other standards.

Motor-paced (AKA stayer) bikes had reversed forks & smaller front wheel to allow closer distance to the motorcycle. The geometry looked weird & unstable but somehow it worked. The commercial is weird.though. In past decades tv commercials with bike riders usually showed them wobbling about like newbies, now the actors usually look to be fairly skilled.
