It's a Nikon D300 with a Nikon 50mm 1.8 lens. I think I had it set at ISO 400 and f1.8 for some of the photos and f2.8 for a few others.

It is interesting that a few hours after I made my post to you, I got to thinking about what gear ratio's one really needs in various bikes and as I have an old mountain bike that I am slowly hybridizing, choosing new cranks is one of the things that I will be doing in a few months.

So your photo and choice of crank have kicked off a process in my mind, that I am now sure will see me get a very different crank choice to what I would have otherwise chosen a few days earlier.

Just click the image and it should bring you to Photobucket with a full size image. I did resize it but it is still large enough for wallpaper.

There were actually two threads. The first when I brought it home and did the first round of mods, and the second when I added the wheels and a few other bits. Here are links for both.

Thanks... I had a feeling it was a f1.8 prime The D300 is still an excellent camera. My brother is a pro wedding photographer and he uses a pair of D300's for his shoots.

Again, great shots Monstermash!

That's a very nice looking Sirrus. Lots of coin in those tweaks too. Very nice indeed.

Lol! I still have the crank, brakes, front shifter/derailleur, wheelset/tires/rotors, seat, and the bar/stem/handlebars. The rear shifter and derailleur, cassette, and the chain went on another bike that I sold.

Why?

Hello,

Love what you have done with your Sirrus

I have '14 comp carbon disc. I don't think I will go extreme like your. There are few things I would like to get it upgraded tho.

How easy is to replace the braking system? Mine came with Tektro Draco 2, I would like to replace them with a minimum of XT or XTR like your. Do you have the exact part number or model number for the XTR?

Another thing I would like is to rid of Shimano Tiagra system and replace them with XT just like your. Can I use the XT F and R derailleur without changing the chainrings?

I think both of our bikes have the exact frame, if I am not mistaking.

Thank you kindly,
Nid

Thank you.

Yes, you can just change the derailleurs and leave the chain, cassette, and and the chainrings if you want.

The brake swap is a little more difficult. The rear hose is run internally so it has to be cut and routed through the frame. Also, from what I've seen, most hydraulic brakes systems come with extra length on the lines so the front one will need to be cut to length as well. If you're not comfortable cutting the lines and bleeding the brakes have a local shop do it for you.

Here is a link to the brakes I have on my bike.

Mate sorry I missed this thread until now. You've done an exceptional build. Congratulations.

Thank you Sir!

Too bad I took it all apart and returned it (mostly) to stock to sell it.

I would go with the Crossmax. They are a little less expensive (there's a lot of deals on them online now) and IIRC they are a little wider.
