Practice here: https://www.bikeforums.net/forum-sugg...icture-47.html

1. Load picture to Hosting site (Photobucket or similar...)
2. In your post here, click "Insert Image" icon
3.Go to "From URL" tab
4. Paste in URL from Picture hosting site
5. Uncheck "Retrieve Remote file ..."

I think if you go to "insert image" and use "from your computer" it comes out big. Test:

No, that's not it. Okay, then get a free account on a website like ImageShack or Photobucket, upload it there, and insert the URL, maybe? Test:

See if that works.

Another method is to upload the photo directly to the forum, then use the advanced formatting option to copy the image URL and paste it into the "insert image" option ("From URL" and uncheck the option for "Retrieve remote file and reference locally"). So the Bike Forums site is hosting the image, rather than an offsite host. Depends on how much control you want over your photos later.

I like this. This way I don't use up my storage on Photobucket and use BF's instead. (I'd never upload an image onto the web in any form if I didn't want to risk seeing it stolen ... anything less than offensive, obscuring full-photo watermarks, and anyone who wants to steal a photo can. But who'd want a pic of my bike?)
